Kelso yesterday
We've experienced better days..........
Yinfortheroad just wouldn't pick up the bit over hurdles. We'll give him another chance at Carlisle next Sunday, but to make him feel better here's a photo of the gelding in race action.
Leith Walk fell at the last in
her handicap hurdle - horse and jockey ok - and despite failing to
finish, ran well enough.
Look for her to make an appearance at Ayr just after New Year.
Sedgefield tomorrow
Mini the Minx is dropping down the handicap, and runs in the 2½ mile handicap hurdle, where the advance going is soft. She'll be staying on at the death for sure, but it may be that some of her faster rivals will have set sail for home by that time. Realistically, maybe the mare can reach the first six.
Texas Tilly is an interesting debutant in the opening 5 runner novice hurdle also over 2½ miles. She's a year older full sister to Nodda High Kid, and this mare has not been the easiest to train over the years - hence she makes her debut as a rising 8yr old. She will be better suited by a sound surface, but at least she will have a good sight of her hurdles in this contest.
