The family
He is home bred and is the 2nd foal of Lindajane, who raced for
Donald in the early 2000s.
Lindajane also has a 6 year old mare by Sir Harry Lewis, and a
lovely 3 year old filly by Winged Love.
By the time Lindajane joined the yard in 1998, she had already shown
promise by being placed in a couple of bumpers for former Borders'
trainer Zoe Green. She was a marvellous racehorse for the yard
during her 6 seasons here. She won 3 races all told (2 hurdles, 1
chase) and was placed another 7 times for us.
Lindajane is one of 2 winners bred
by the 2nd dam Tempo Rose.
About the sire
Sir Harry Lewis (bay horse, born 1984) won 4 races, at 3 and 4, from 1 mile 1½ furlongs
to 1 mile 4 furlongs.
His successes included the Irish Derby, and the listed Dee Stakes, at Chester.
He was placed at Group level on a number of occasions as well as finishing fourth
in the Epsom Derby,
He was retired to Stud in 1990, and been a prominent NH sire for a number of years,
having sired the winners of over 200 races. And he has sired some classy individuals too,
headed by The Mighty Man & Diamond Harry.
Sir Harry Lewis died in 2009.

Ah, don't we all just love 'Hector'.
Nodda High Kid was broken in during the Spring of 2009, and joined the
stable straight afterwards.
After gentle cantering, he progressed to racing upsides the string on the Up the Middle gallop.
During this spell, he impressed all the team with some fine work
sessions, but also earned a reputation for one to be wary of in his box!
Roll forward a couple of years....
Nodda High Kid made his belated racecourse appearance (given how long he had been in training)
at Musselburgh in November 2011, and delighted us all staying on close home for a narrow victory.
Several of the stable shrewdies landed some nice bets that day (at an
SP of 80-1!). Our gelding confirmed that effort with probably a better performance the next month
when finishing 4th in a bumper at the same course.
Nodda High Kid had a couple of outings in novice hurdles in May/June
of 2013 at Perth and Hexham
and he did quite well without looking like winning.
Last season in handicap company, he ran reasonably well at
Musselburgh in January over 2m 4f, before showing little over further in 2
subsequent runs. It may see a return to 2 miles, for Hector to
recapture winning form in 2013-14.
