Turn out paddocks
To the right as you enter the yard are 3 fenced off paddock areas.
These are ideal to turn horses out after exercise and in the
afternoon, as they are just yards from our home.
You know, any racing horse just loves the freedom afforded by an afternoon in such paddocks.
But, as in any racing stable, the safety of the horses is of utmost importance - owners trust us to care
for the string 24 hrs. a day. Being so close to where we live, does bring that level of reassurance.
Woodchip paddock
At the end of the stable block, is the woodchip paddock.
This is excellent in continuing the education of young
horses who have just been broken-in.
As an introduction to jumping, this area is ideal to expose horses
to poles lying on the ground which should be stepped over.
The area is also large enough for a couple of schooling hurdles to
be erected to brush up the jumping skills of the string.
