Saturday gallops
Dull, cool and raining welcomed (?) Dodlands team members and owners
alike on Saturday morning. Well, it's winter so what do you expect? (© Callum Whillans RacingUK

Good to see Les Dodds, Eileen Smith, Fozzo and Al down to brave the
elements and pop up to the gallops.
Lot 1 were home and hosed before any of today's visitors surfaced.
The gallop comprised of four horses who each did a couple of spins.
- Paper Promise (Georgina) - may go hurdling at Carlisle on
Wednesday
- Big Bad Dream (Callum) - aiming for a bumper at Ayr, week on
Tuesday
- Eternally Yours (Kingy) - similarly, will be entered later on
this week for a bumper at Musselburgh week on Wednesday
- Baby Ticker (Murray) - she'll miss Newcastle tomorrow, but look
for her towards end of the month
Incidentally you can find out more about Georgina by looking at her
profile on our Stable Staff
page.
Lot 2 :
- Tomahawk Wood (Georgina)
- next appearance will be on a galloping track such as Ayr this
month
- Bluefortytwo (Pinky) - next appearance is on a tight, right
handed track as owner Rob Bewley takes him to the Tattersalls
Cheltenham NH sale week on Thursday
Both the above did a couple of canters, whilst the trio below did
the equivalent of 1½ canters
- 'Nell' (Kingy) - young Shirocco filly gradually stepping up her
work
- Paper Roses (Murray) - back in work after a quiet period
following her Catterick run at the turn of the year
- 'Sting' - unraced Scorpion gelding back in work after a
(planned) break for a couple of months
Paper Roses leads the bay Scorpion gelding ('Sting') and 'Nell'
Lot 3
- Night Comes In (Pinky)
- Dali Mail (Callum) - aiming for a follow up bumper run at the
end of February, after a promising run at Kelso last month
each of whom did a couple of canters, while the pair below did one
canter
- Danced Every Dance (Murray) - back in steady work after her
bumper debut a couple of weeks ago
- Unnamed 2 year old filly (Kingy)
which left last week's Ayr runners (Side
of the Road and
Keyboard Gangster) to have a leg stretching walk in nearby country
lanes.
