Not quite the best day we've ever had.......
Borders Dream was outpaced
early on in his debut in the 2 year old maiden over 6 furlongs. This
compact colt by Dream Ahead brought a fair few comments of admiration in
the paddock beforehand, and looked very well in himself.
Connor Beasley eased the colt in the final 2 furlongs once his chance
had gone and finished in
the rear of the 9-horse field, and we'd hope he'd come on for the run.
Hopes were fairly high that our staying handicapper Wor Lass would go close later on in the card but from travelling smoothly 3 furlongs out, she could never quite get into the mix, and finished 5th. She remains in good heart and a drop in grade may well be in order.
