Bumper runner at Ayr Sunday

Another week, another stable debutant in a bumper!
And there's still a couple more to come........

This time it's Gie It Laldy, owned by Simon & Angela Gillies, who is a nicely-made youngster by Multiplex and is one who promises much for the future. He's fairly far forward for his first run on a racecourse but much like most of our bumper horses will come on for the run.
It was just over 4 years ago when we trained this lad's half brother Bluefortytwo to finish second on his first run, and it would be fitting if Gie It Laldy were to reach the frame here.

Just 4 opponents but that's not always a plus for young horses experiencing the wide open spaces of a racecourse for the first time.
Anyway, Gordon Elliot sends Burn The Evidence (hmmm...) over - Sean Bowen rides - and he has already a couple of solid placed efforts in bumpers to his credit. The one to beat.
Also catching the eye is the sales price (£180k) of Nicky's 6-yr-old gelding Tfou, another who is seeing a racecourse for the first time.

Anyway, Callum Bewley comes in for the ride and good luck to Callum, Simon and Angela.

Ayr last week

Eternally Yours fared the better of our two runners at Ayr last Sunday when finishing 3rd in the 3 mile handicap hurdle. She was the only horse to tackle the easy winner Wakhool approaching the last and probably paid for that effort when caught close home for the second berth.

A nice return to form nonetheless.

Kinerton Hill looked to be in need of the race a couple of hours earlier in the 2m 4f handicap hurdle. He looks the type to be suited by further too.
