Two runners at Ayr on Sunday
2nd January sees Ayr stage its' annual New Year card on Sunday - the days all seem to run into each other over the Festive period so both day and date are stated to remind everyone - not in the least ourselves.
Not our usual in depth view of racing ('thank goodness for that' I hear the cry), but Dodlands have a couple of runners at Ayr.
Kinerton Hill makes a belated re-appearance in the 2m 4f handicap hurdle at 12.45pm for Simon & Angela Gillies. He looks like a staying type and this will be his first attempt at 2½ miles, so we hope he can show his best. There are 16 runners so this is sure to be a competitive race.
Callum Bewley is in the saddle - best of luck to all connections.

After being just caught on the line a year ago in a Class 2 handicap hurdle at Aintree, Eternally Yours has had her troubles. Pulled up when clearly something was amiss at Carlisle in February, she was beaten quite a way from home on her re-appearance at that same track in October.
All her racing has been done over 2½ miles so this trip over an extended 3 miles of the Class 2 handicap hurdle at 2.30pm will be new to her. On the upside is that her handicap mark has dropped markedly and the advance going of soft will suit her very well.
Craig Nichol takes the ride and good luck to all.
