Lucarno Dancer heads to Sedgefield (Tuesday)
The extended 2m handicap chase at Sedgefield may just have 7 runners but promises to be a tight affair.
Micky Hammond's grand campaigner Roxyfet is a 6 time course winner,
and rarely a Sedgefield meeting goes by that isn't marked by his
presence. A repeat of his course and distance win last time will see him
go very close. And in this race he meets his old course adversary Jokers
and Rogues - these two seem to take turn about in coming out on top.
Frankie Ballou is a triple course and distance winner (I think a pattern
is starting to emerge here.....) but needs to bounce back from a couple
of below par performances.
Two Hoots was behind Lucarno Dancer when she won at Catterick, and won
next time out at........Sedgefield.
Hurricane Rita hasn't won since leaving Ollly Murphy for her present
trainer but could recapture some form on a softer surface while
Dullhalowcountry is 4lb out of the handicap and will be an outsider.
Lucarno Dancer schooled well earlier this week with Dali Mail and Big Bad Dream, and has been in fine form at home. She has a good opportunity in this race.
