Wor Lass runs at Ayr
Taking a drop down in class (quite a bit actually) tomorrow, having
won a Class 4 event at Musselburgh,
Wor Lass attempts to
follow up her victory last time in the Class 5 1m 5f handicap.
The quickening ground shouldn't cause her any problems, and she's a
triple course and distance winner - albeit off a rating of around 20lb
lower. From that Musselburgh race, the runner up Great Fighter finished
second again next time out, but the 7th placed horse (Max Leiberman) won
next time at York.
Les Dodds' mare is in good health at home, and Rachel Richardson again
comes in for the ride.
Let's hope for another competitive outing from the likeable mare.
Meanwhile, Princess Apollo heads down to Carlisle
Third run on the track for the 4yr old filly, we hope she can continue
the improvement shown on her last run. She faces 16 opponents in this
maiden stakes over 6 furlongs.
Hawick-born Jason Hart will again ride Princess Apollo, and it's great
to re-unite with Jason as he started off his racing stable experience as
a teenager here at Dodlands, popping down each weekend to ride work
while still at school.
Anyway, good look tomorrow to all our owners, and have an enjoyable day at the races.
