Fine victory for Eternally Yours

It's been a long time coming, and having hit the bar a couple of times this month, it was a fantastic feeling to saddle our first winner of the season when Eternally Yours won the bumper at Sedgefield yesterday.

On what was the 4yr old Sulamani filly's second ever run - following her fine 4th placed debut at the end of November - Callum tucked in behind the pace-setting, market leaders in Skelton's Jane Lamb and The Dapper Don's Birch Vale. As on her debut, Eternally Yours ran a bit green in parts and was cajoled along a couple of times before the race started in earnest as they headed up the hill at the end of the back straight second time. Driven by Callum to challenge 3f out, Jane Lamb was soon seen off, and when our filly drew alongside Birch Vale with 2 furlongs to go, our confidence started to rise.
Sure enough, as on her debut, one flick of the whip from Callum was enough to set our filly alight and she soon settled matters, winning going away by just under 3 lengths.

See the race video here.

A big boost for the stable as despite our horses running well, that first winner for the season had been proving elusive. Congratulations to connections, and we're extra delighted too as we own her 2 (rising 3) year old half sister by Yeats.......
