26th December news

Sedgefield today

Sedgefield, where we take Eternally Yours for her second run in a bumper.

She ran with promise on her debut a month ago at Musselburgh, and this mares only bumper doesn't have the same strength in depth as that race but there are still a couple with good form and a few interesting newcomers.
The powerhouse stables of Skelton (over 100 winners this season) and McCain (5 out of 5 with his last runners) have a couple who were runners up last time in Jane Lamb and Birch Vale. Assessing comparative form is tricky with little to go on, but these three have RPRs within a lb or two, so it's very tight. And who knows just how much improvement is there from run to run.

Of the newcomers, Jefferson and Atkinson have a good record with fillies in bumpers and each have eye-catching sorts in Branston Doyen and Mini Dreams. It would be no surprise if either were contesting the finish.

Callum takes the ride, and good luck to all!
