Newcastle runner

Potassium Partnership's juvenile hurdler Goodknight Percy makes his hurdling debut at Newcastle tomorrow. It's a 2m Introductory Hurdle and quite a hot event even though there are only 5 runners.

Henderson sends up a French Province bumper winner by the highly regarded Great Pretender, whilst Ellison's Nietzsche has the best form on view either from the flat or hurdles. So Celebre brings a fair level of form into this race too, whilst Rosarios - like Percy - is a maiden on the flat making his NH debut.

Bruce & Hart head to Carlisle on Sunday

Ryan Nicholl comes in for the ride on Snapping Turtle in the Amateur Riders' staying hurdle at Carlisle on Sunday whilst Hartforth drops down in trip to contest the 2m 3f handicap hurdle (Div 1) with Callum.

Both horses would have a good chance if re-producing something like their best form, and should be suited by the testing conditions. But, on recent form, each horse has a bit to prove.

Probably over the weekend, Snapping Turtle may have the best chance of success, but we just hope all three can be competitive.
