Racing review from Newcastle yesterday

Bollin Julie eventually finished in 8th position in the 2m 6f handicap hurdle yesterday, but ran well for a long way. She jumped well, and travelled well and actually led approaching 3 out till weakening from 2 out.

We guessed that she would need this race which was her first completed run for 2 years. However, there was a lot be optimistic about this run and although she may need another run to be at her best, she will come on for this race and be looking to contest finishes.
Newcastle seems to suit her style of racing, and another track of a similar nature is Ayr. So, minor grade handicap hurdling over distances from 2m 4f to 3m will be on the agenda in the weeks to come, on soft ground.
