Julie heads down to Hexham tomorrow
The official going at Hexham tomorrow is heavy, and with the recent
rise in temperatures comes some rain showers but we hope that these
don't prove to be any threat to the meeting as we try again with
Bollin Julie to make her
comeback appearance.
Certainly Jake, Squeak and the lads of Denholm Park Racing will be
hoping so, and that Julie is able to put her best foot forward on her
return to action.
Callum will have to suffer going without breakfast and lunch as the mare is set to carry 9st 11lb, and The Trainer will not look too kindly upon any jockey putting up overweight on any of the string, no matter who his mother is.
The obvious danger is the horse selected by 'the system of the season' which showed a big profit in November, namely, back anything ridden by Brian Hughes (Turtle Cask, goes well on heavy). Heavy ground may find out a few of the runners (maybe Julie falls into this category too), Lucinda's veteran hurdler Bescot Springs is a proven mudlark, Sue Smith's Flemerina is better than she has shown to date, and there are a few runners from the Point field to add into the mix.
Good luck to all, and enjoy the day!
