A couple of runners at Kelso today
King Kalium is first up, making his chasing debut in the 2m 1f novice chase. He faces just 5 runners but 3 of these have BHA ratings in excess of 125, but such are the challenges that face chasing debutants these days.
Still, while winning such an event would appear to be a massive task, our gelding does jump well and we hope he can stay in one piece during the race and give his owners a bit of a thrill at his local course.

Charlie Bucket carries top weight in the staying handicap hurdle later in the card. He has yet to re-capture the fine form of a year ago, so we go into this today with fingers crossed, but at least he get a bit of relief from the handicapper as he runs off his lowest rating for a couple of years.
Anyway, best of luck to The Potassium Partnership and Milsey Bay Racing and here's to an enjoyable day in what is an excellent card all told at Kelso.
