21st March news

Two runners at Musselburgh today

Musselburgh 21st March : 2.20 pm 2m 1½f Maiden Hurdle (Class 4)

Wor Lad was pulled up recently at Ayr over a wee bit further than today's trip. This contest looks slightly easier, but our gelding has a bit to prove.
Blinkers are fitted for the first time.

No real standout performer at the top of the market. but Lucinda's Spit Spot is one of two previous winners on the All Weather and may just prevail.

Best to Craig and Wor Lad's owners.

Musselburgh 21st March : 5.30 pm 2m 1½f Mares Only NH Flat Race (Class 4)

Recent addition to the yard, Anny McPhee runs in the closing bumper at Musselburgh.
Previously with Katie Scott, this mare has just had the one outing a couple of years ago.
She's a full sister to 6-time winner on the level Mc'ted, out of a mare who herself won 7 times over middle distances on the Flat.

She'll again look to benefit from this experience, with Craig Nichol in the saddle.

This could go to Lucinda's ex-Irish Point winner Chanonry Point who was bought following a 6 length debut win in January. The 3rd horse that day was a narrow runner up on Rules debut in a bumper at Leopardstown at the beginning of the month
There are some fine winners in the family of Chanelle Noir who will look to come on for her debut in an Ascot bumper with Brian Hughes booked.
