Both Barrels may not have quite the eye-catching form or pedigree of several of runners in this event, a 2 miler at 5.20 on ground that is currently good to soft, but he's a tough character and will be staying on when many will have cried enough. He still ran green last time when 4th in a race in which a couple of today's opponents were 2nd (Isenay) and 3rd (Idem).

Nicky's Coniston George impressed, again travelling smoothly, when winning at Ayr a couple of weeks ago having previously been a horse to note when runner up on debut. He could be a bit special.
But he'll probably have to be to fend off a trio of southern raiders from Nicholls (Go West), King (Cuban Court) and Devon's Ms Pickard (Bullets Hill) to prevail.
