Saturday Morning gallops
An irregular feature these days.
But, several owners had appeared during the morning and made their way up to the gallops. A dreich dark but mild (-ish) start to the day which was nevertheless enlivened by the enthusiastic chatter among the younger members of the team. So, a few out of focus pictures seemed the least we could do..............
'Mouse' Young made an unexpected appearance, so much so that he missed his Shoeshine Boy in Lot 1 - although just how much he, or anyone, could see at 7.30 am is up for debate. It was dark!

A bit more sedate exercise from this group, twice Up-the Middle nonetheless. Representatives of Mousetrap Racing, The Wellfed Boys and Pallas Lord were in attendance.

A couple of our youngsters have arrived back in the yard, with our blacksmith booked for a visit on Monday. Several others will gradually drip feed back in the next few weeks and the more forward will be looking at a bumper run in the back-end.

The by this time stiff Wellfed Boys were joined by the free-moving Ron &
Eileen Smith in place to pick out their So Many Roads & home-bred Ellistrin Star
respectively through the mist and rain.
