Eternally Yours return to Ayr on Thursday

Eternally Yours has been a frequent visitor to Ayr during her hurdling career but until her last visit (over today's course and distance) she had never tasted success at the Ayrshire coastal venue.
She returns for the Class 3 handicap hurdle at 2.00pm over 2m 4½f which sees mostly exposed types take on each other but there are a couple of exceptions.

McCain's Gold Emery lines up for only his 2nd outing under rules, having won a novice over 2m 1f at Carlisle in February. Given a BHA Rating of 110, this could prove lenient as he's an Irish Point winner too.
The other, less obvious type, is Kinneston Nick's Half Track who has failed to complete the course in 3 novice chases this season (unluckily so) and looks to regain confidence back over the smaller obstacles here. He ran well in his novice races last season and doesn't seem harshly treated on OR113 but this trip may just be on the sharp side for him.

Jonjo's Lock's Corner is in form and was rated much higher a season or so ago.
Rose's Rae des Champs is only a 5yr-old and will surely have benefitted from a season opener at Newcastle last month. Another progressive sort who will be involved over the last 2.

These look the main protagonists.

Eternally Yours is in good heart at home but has been raised 4lb since that last win. On the plus side, the close second that day, Charm Offensive, came out and won so the form looks solid. However, the expected Good to Soft going might just be on the fast side for our mare who acts well on soft and heavy.
Theo Gillard is again in the saddle wearing the stable colours.

Stolen Money

A bit of sad news.
Our gallant staying hurdler/chaser Stolen Money has died.

You may remember that he sustained a hind leg injury when falling at Kelso last month. He received veterinary care at the racecourse and in the following days back in our yard. But we became concerned when he was still lame 3 or 4 days later, and following advice from our own vet, Stolen Money was transported to the Clyde Valley Vet Group at Lanark.

A couple of operations to flush an infected joint were carried out over the next week or so but sadly these were not successful, and he couldn't be saved.

The 7yr-old Stolen Money was just setting out on a chasing career who would surely have seen this strong type maximise his potential. He was a Tattersalls Ire Store Sales buy in 2018, and won 3 handicap hurdles on the trot last season.

'Seb' is missed by all at Dodlands.
