Shoeshine Boy runs at Kelso

Before any of his NH stablemates have had the chance for seasonal debut, Shoeshine Boy runs for the second time at Kelso on Saturday in Division 1 of the 2 mile maiden hurdle that kicks the 8-race meeting off at 1.34, prompt.

This will be the Mousetrap Racing's gelding third run in a novice and we hope this will enable him to get a handicap mark to be hopefully more competitive in future. Craig Nichol is in the saddle.

There isn't a great deal of hurdling form to go on, with Rebecca's Schalke setting a fairly modest level with his effort when falling, but well beaten, 3 out on his sole outing.
Lucinda's Irish Point winner and Rules debutant Corrigeen Rock looks uneasy at the top end of the market, being a half brother to bumper winner but disappointing hurdler Kitty Hall. He may be best suited by further, a comment which could be attributed to several others - Creative Control, Fortcanyon, Sir Chester to name but three.
Which leaves the probability that the winner could come from the myriad of horses with bumper form seeing a hurdle for the first time in public.
Bumper winner Lock Down Luke stands out under that examination but his form did tail off somewhat.
Thomson's Goast Dancer is a very well bred sort who has changed hands but remained in the Lambden yard. He comes into the mix.
However, the winner may well be Nicky Richard's twice raced Walk In The Park gelding Parisencore. He improved in his second bumper run for better ground and this race wont take a lot of winning.

Others look to need more time.
