And so onto Newcastle......due to the fast ground, Bonnie Houxty was a non runner.
Lots of runners already this week - there's another two at Ayr on
Saturday - but we've not been that competitive in bare results terms as
it's been our younger stock who have been to the races.
That changes slightly with experienced hurdler Bonny Houxty facing 14
opponents in the opening Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle over 3
miles, in which she is reunited with Theo Gillard. The advance going at
Newcastle is good.
We've been itching to give Bonny Houxty another chance at 3 miles and
while softer ground would have been preferable, she has a sound each way
shout here.
Lilly Pinchin rides Longsdon's in-form Freethinker. She has impressed with some fine riding this season and could again go close here.
