Just the one runner today - Musselburgh bumper

Neigh Botha makes a belated racecourse debut in the last race on Musselburgh's Sunday card at 5.00 pm, a 2 mile National Hunt Flat race. Persistent rain gives the unusual going description of soft for this East Lothian course, so we'll see......

8 runners and the usual suspects are present. The form horse is the winning mare Sweet Auburn from the all conquering McCain/Hughes combo and sets a fair standard for the other to aim at. The Crawford Bros. send over Harel du Marais another Munir/Souede debutant. This gelding had a relatively modest Irish Point outing but you suspect that he's a bit better than shown there.

Pauline Robson had a winning bumper debutant for owner Eric Elliott about a year ago and runs Andre le Notre here. He's a half brother to a couple of winners on the level so has the credentials to go close.
Nephew Ewan runs one and Lucinda fields a couple and these trainers can ready bumper types also.

Neigh Botha had a minor issue earlier in the season but we gave him the required rest period and have been bringing him along steadily. He might not have quite the speed to win around the tight Musselburgh course but is a nice type for the future.
Craig Nichol rides in the stable's colours.
