Pallas Lord doubles up at Redcar on Monday
Shay Farmer and jockey Ryan Sexton plus delighted owners with Pallas Lord in the winners circle
Pallas Lord followed up his recent AW win at Newcastle with a very
fine run to win the 7f handicap at Redcar on Monday.
Again ridden by
rising star Ryan Sexton, he jumped off in a nice position settled in
touch of runaway leader Captain Claret. Ryan made his move just below
the furlong marker and produced a strong run to lead in the final 100
yds.
He clearly thrives on soft ground and as long as the conditions are to his liking, he'll have a good chance of completing the hat-trick.
Bonny Houxty runs at Sedgefield today
Sedgefield Friday and with the advance going of soft (good to soft places), we're a bit more hopeful of a better run from Bonny Houxty in this marathon 3m 3f handicap hurdle contest at 4.35.
Bonny Houxty has been a bit one paced towards the finish in her previous 2 races, so she has been given every chance to show her best in this race over a staying distance.
Last time out course & distance winner Bobbie The Dazzler has only got
2lb more to carry and seems sure to play a prominent part in the finish,
as does another course & distance winner last time Creswell Queen (raised 7lb
for that win).
McCain's Bird On The Wire has put together a string of good performances
together this season and was less than 1 length behind Bobbie The
Dazzler last time. And if you add in another winner-last-time in Great
Raffles this has the shape of a quite competitive race.
Craig Nichol is in the saddle for Bill & Carol Aitchison, and good luck to all.
