Honda Fifty make his racecourse debut at Newcastle tomorrow

Our Arakan 5yr old gelding Honda Fifty makes his debut in the Newcastle bumper which closes the Tuesday card at the Tyneside venue.
This is billed as a 'Newcomers' NH Flat race so not only is this the initial racecourse appearance by our fellow, his 10 opponents are also seeing the track for the first time.

So there's not much form to go on but.........

Micky Hammond's Crypto catches the eye straight away with the booking of Graham Lee, and this gelding by Gold Well (an unraced full brother to Montjeu) is a half brother to 6 winners over jumps including a couple of bumper winners. He would be one expected to contest the finish.
Micky also saddles Marvellous Joe, a half brother to Nicky Henderson's fairly useful winning hurdler Champagne Express.
The Trevorhemmingsgelding Glen Mooar was a €125k purchase from the Irish Derby sale of 2017 and is from a family strewn with bumper winners including his full sister Vanellope.
Tim Vaughan's Jembug Drummer wasn't exactly cheap either at €85k and comes from a fine NH family (including Captain Cee Bee), being a half brother to a 2m hurdle winner.
Ewart's French-bred Muhtamar will no doubt be a big, rangy sort with hood applied, but the sire Muhtathir has a very good record with his progeny on the flat and over the jumps.
Dual purpose trainer Keith Dalgleish has declared Raymond, a Tobougg half brother to the multiple winner over jumps Cracking Find but he may be more of a staying type (at the risk of feeling some egg on the face post-race).
Northern trainer of the moment Phil Kirby saddles the Montmartre filly Desaray Girl, a €40k sales purchase. This French-bred hails from a fine National Hunt family who have recorded many successes.

And if that wasn't enough Britain's winningmost trainer (Mark Johnson) runs Och Aye who is a half brother to 8 winners on the flat, several very useful.

Honda Fifty's pedigree also contains several bumper winners and very useful jumpers such as Kid Cassidy. He possesses a fair bit of speed but as you can see from the above, this promises to be a hot affair. Callum takes the ride.
