Couple of runners at Ayr on Wednesday
Due to strict timescales placed upon us by the Web Team, this piece
is written a wee bit in advance of Wednesday's Ayr meeting at which
we'll have two runners.
So, before we get on with the serious stuff, Happy New Year and All The
Best for 2019 from Dodlands Steading!!!
First up at Ayr is course and distance winner Dali Mail in the 1.35, a novice hurdle over 2 miles. There are some nice, well thought off horses in the line up, some of whom are 'jocked up' two days in advance so this promises to be a lively event. It's difficult to get a feel for the predicted form for the race with novices as improvement can be expected from most.
Our gelding has come out of his first appearance over hurdles in good heart, and we know he'll improve for that run although wary of similar contenders in the race. Callum will be in the saddle again.
And much the same can be said about our bumper debutant's chances in
the 3.45 -
Bushmill Boy.
He has shown
us enough at home to believe he can be competitive in this race and
owner Rob's son Callum Bewley will take the ride.
We hope that connections have an enjoyable day at the races, and good luck to all.
