Wind Surgery to be declared on next appearance of horses in racecards
Yes, I know we've got Tomahawk Wood in at Hexham tomorrow, but we've given top story to this evening's breaking news from the BHA. Al Duncan has already put pen to paper (as it were), and you can read the full story, and Al's thoughts, by locating his musing.
Tomahawk Wood has a date at Hexham
So, onto tomorrow's racing.
First run of the season for our dual hurdles winner Tomahawk Wood who can be a stuffy horse to get fit but we think that the gelding holds a good chance.
In his favour is that he carries just 10st, with Callum's
allowance considered, so little 'lead weight' in the saddle. And he gets
upwards of 10lb from his 9 rivals. The going is heavy, and our lad has
winning form on this type of ground albeit at a lower grade. On the downside, the
race distance is 2 miles and his winning form is over 4f further.
On adjusted RPRs, Tomahawk Wood comes out 1lb behind the top two (Nick's
Clan Legend and Sue & Harvey's Minella Fiveo) so at a price he
represents a fair each way wager, although it's tight.......
Best of luck to The Enduria Partnership, wherever in the world they are watching the race!
