Is it that time already......?
Time has passed really quickly, it seems just like yesterday when we
were taking shoes off the string and boxing them out in all directions
to summer grass throughout the countryside.
But, as we touched on in a recent update in July (that'd be the only
update in July - ed), 10 weeks of summer grass is ideal.
10 weeks also gives Callum ample time in which to complete the power
hosing of the stables! The Jockey even had time to take in a 5-day music
festival in Croatia, although it seems his memory is not what it used to
be if pressed for more details.........
So, the return of horses to Dodlands has started, with The Potassium
Partnership's classy gelding Shades of Midnight, together with his
summer companion Night Comes In, being welcomed back on Sunday.
We'll continue to bring horses back into the yard in 2's and 3's over the course of
the next few weeks, mainly as they hit the 10 week mark at grass.
The horses are in magnificent condition as we've seen on each regular visit to the summer fields, which gives The Trainer plenty to work on during the forthcoming months.
Here are a few photos of the string enjoying themselves.....
