Tomorrow's runner at Catterick
The runners in tomorrow's 3m 1f handicap hurdle at Catterick will be on first name terms with each other, as it's fairly standard fare for a Wednesday at the Yorkshire course.
Our favourite veteran hurdler, Snapping Turtle, is out to put an uncharacteristic fall at Sedgefield last time behind him, and Callum will be keen to keep the gelding fairly prominent throughout. Let's hope he's still in with a chance over the last.
There are several opponents who have yet to show their best form this
season, and a couple who are going through a dip in form, but these type
of horses can never be discounted.
Of the more obvious rivals, Houndscourt - like our fellow - seems fairly
exposed on his current mark, but usually runs up to a level that will
make him competitive.
Turtle Cask has dropped down to a winning mark, and ran better last time
in first time blinkers. He likes to race prominently, too.
Brian Hughes again takes the saddle for Robins Legend, a lightly raced
5yr old with stout National Hunt breeding, and he may well improve for
this staying trip and soft ground.
