Snapping Turtle runs at Sedgefield today
We seem to be experiencing a slight lull in form on the racecourse - these things happen - so it is with a bit of hope rather than confidence that we set off down the road with Snapping Turtle to Sedgefield today.
He's in the first, a fairly standard fare 3m 3f Class 5 handicap
hurdle. The handicapper has dropped our gelding 3lb to a mark of 93, and
if he returns to form Snapping Turtle would be a player off that sort of
mark.
However, he's a wee
bit inconsistent these days (a trait shared with most of his rivals),
so..............
Anyway, the ground is given as good which shows that the track is fast drying as
it's been soft/heavy most of the season.
Let's hope the veteran gelding enjoys himself!
