If Sedgefield is on, we've a runner

There's a 7.30am inspection tomorrow at Sedgefield tomorrow morning, which will determine if racing is possible at the County Durham venue.
Threat of overnight frost, apparently.

Let's hope this racecourse has more success than the all-weather track at Lingfield tomorrow. It seems in this case, that is a rather unique appropriation of the word 'all', in that the surface has been unable to cope with normal winter precipitation. Racing cancelled.

Dodlands Stable stalwart Snapping Turtle runs in the staying handicap hurdle which opens the card at Sedgefield.

He's been a resident here for 7 or 8 years, and never missed a season. The veteran hurdler still seems as fresh as any of the youngsters that he leads out each morning, and while he's enjoying himself, we'll take him racing. Unless the leaders set off at a fast  pace, Callum will try to keep the 12 year old prominent and see how he's going into the last circuit.
