Runner in tomorrow's bumper at Ayr

There's no doubt that the members of The Buyers Club have had to be very patient this season with their 2014 Tattersalls (Ire) August sales purchase Keyboard Gangster. It's getting on for a year since his sole run in a bumper at Perth last May, but the talented gelding has not been the easiest to train.
However, with Callum taking personal pride in bringing the Gamut 6 year old along carefully, we head on across the country to Ayr's Scottish National meeting for a run in the last race of the day, the 2 mile National Hunt Flat race.

As befits a Class 3 race worth £10,000 added in prize money, this event has attracted a good field with half a dozen of the runners having either won a bumper or a point-to-point. Throw in a couple of newcomers from the leading two trainers in the country as they battle each other for the top spot at the head of the trainers table (concludes next Saturday), and the race has taken shape as the top bumper race in Scotland this season.

Keyboard Gangster will inevitably improve for the experience, and we hope this chasing type can turn in a good run.
