Keyboard Gangster makes his debut at Perth
Our unraced Gamut gelding,
Keyboard Gangster, is
entered in the concluding race at Perth tomorrow, a National Hunt Flat
race over an extended 2 miles.
Of course at this time of year, drying ground would be a concern as we
wouldn't want to risk the workmanlike gelding if there was no give in
the surface.
We bought him over in Ireland nearly 2 years go now, and we think of him
as a nice chasing prospect. Ideally a strong run race would suit him
best, as he may be caught for toe by the more speedier types in the race
if it turns into a sprint from the home bend.
Clear favourite will be the Dickie Johnston ridden Sunday Central who finished a close up 4th at Downpatrick a couple of weeks ago. A couple of nicely bred newcomers catch the eye in Rosie Fifty One and Python, while George's Bannow Storm will be in the mix too.
