Back on the gallops

After several weeks of conditioning involving steady exercise of walking through leafy lanes, in early morning sunshine with tee-shirted riders (ok, enough, enough of the Mills & Boon! - Ed), it was great to get back on the gallops with a few of the early returnees from summer breaks.

So, in the last few days, we've been cantering these horses on the Up the Middle gallop. Just the once up at this stage

• Leith Walk
• Texas Tilly
• 'Lilly' (a mare by Meadowbrook)
• King Kalium
• Yinfortheroad

Otherwise, this weekend we've welcomed back Charlie Bucket, Nodda High Kid and tomorrow we'll pick up Mia Matriarch and a young Courteous gelding.
