Leith Walk heads off to the paddocks
Our fine race mare of the last few seasons, Leith Walk, has been retired and starts a new career as a broodmare in Ireland, Indeed, it is our understanding that she is to be mated with top NH sire, Flemensfirth.
Leith Walk has given plenty thrills to his owners - Dave McComb and his
Borders' cohorts by winning two races and being placed umpteen times. Her finest
performance came just over a year ago at Ayr when winning a handicap
hurdle by 25 lengths.
There's no doubt she'll be missed around the yard, but we'll keep a look
out for her off-spring in a few years time.

Round up
Well, we're a bit lost for words actually, as we had 4 runners in the
last couple weeks, none of whom ran particularly well.
Spells like this happen, but we'll keep on doing the things we know are
right and it'll come around.
Kelso in on next Saturday, so we may have a runner or two.
