Update from Dodlands
Much to the delight of the stable team, the string have started to reappear in the yard following their summer break.
We don't bring them all back in at once, but around half a dozen of the horses are back in their stalls, and are being exercised gently each morning in the surrounding lanes.
At present we have
We'll be looking to bring in another handful of the string over the weekend.
Educating youngsters
We've got two 4yr old home-bred horses that we have been educating over the last couple of weeks in our own yard. Ryan, Ross and Kyle have been having fun with the two horses as they are introduced to bridles, reins and vocal instructions.
The Winged Love filly (ex Lindajane) is probably the more forward of the pair although there's not a lot in it at the moment. She is pictured below being led through some poles, with Kyle providing a gentle weight in the saddle.

The other is a River Falls gelding (ex Wee Willow), a free moving, athletic sort who has already impressed us
at this early stage. River Falls is of course the sire of Joe Cullen,
the Cheltenham Festival bumper winner of 2000.
Kyle is pictured below, lunging the youngster.
